Gail Whalen called the meeting to order at 0900 hours in the Old City Hangar.

A. OLD BUSINESS:

1. FINANCIAL REPORT: Financial status as of 30 Apr 05 was presented to and accepted by the staff. Statement is attached. (WEAVER-INFO)

4. DIRECTOR'S UPDATE (WHALEN):

ON GOING CONSTRUCTION:

-Benches placed in the Air Park.

-BOMARC moved.

-Terminal HAVAC system turned on.

-Medal of Honor Grove scheduled for completion Oct/Nov 05

HAWK MISSILES AND LAUNCHER:

-Contract awarded for two missiles

EQUIPMENT TURN-IN: No change.

CANADIAN EXHIBIT:

-Artifacts have been boxed, awaiting removal.

EC-121T:

-All three estimates for contract to restore both radar domes and tip tanks came in under committed funds.

-Left over funds will be used to restore sky stairs.

AIR SHOW – 4 Jun 05:

-Saturday 4 Jun is a duty day for the 21st SW.

-Museum will be staffed.

-Do not expect a lot of visitors to the Museum.

RETIREMENT:

-TSGT Fraser’s retirement is 1300 hrs 3 Jun 05, Old City Hangar.

5. P-47N RESTORATION:

-Expect to receive gun blast tube covers, exhaust molding, armor plating for the seat next week. (KOVACH-INFO)

6. EC-121T RESTORATION:

-Screening (bird protection) still under way. (CAWOOD-INFO)

7. PUBLIC AFFAIRS:

-The 21 SW Retiree Affairs issued their first newspaper. It contains the article written by Ed Cates on our Connie. (E.NEWMAN-INFO)

8. AF RADAR SITES ICELAND REUNION:

-We had 179 for dinner 1800hrs 14 May 05 in the Old City Hangar.

-All when well. After action report being prepared. (WAEVER-INFO)

9. CMOC ARTIFACTS:

-Details are still being work out.

B. NEW BUSINESS:

-Gail Whalen conducted a one hour training class on exhibit construction and habits of visitors.

C. NEXT MEETING: 0900hrs, 24 Jun 2005 in the Old City Hangar.
