MUSEUM STORE
Volunteer operates the Museum Store Tuesday through Saturday from 0900 to 1600 hours. Duties also include greeting visitors, addressing visitor questions and operating the Museum’s theater.  Length of the shift can be tailored to your availability.

DOCENT/TOUR GUIDES
Do you like to meet and talk with people?  If so, we have the job for you. Our Docent’s work shifts are tailored to your availability.  They meet and greet, show videos, operate our gift shop and give tours to individuals or groups.  This is a wonderful opportunity to meet some very interesting people and learn a lot about our heritage.  We provide the training, you bring the enthusiasm.

ADOPT-A-PLANE
The goal of the “Adopt-A-Plane” program is to have base organizations assist Museum staff by providing periodic care of the museum’s static display aircraft and missiles with washing, waxing, and minor maintenance.

CURATORIAL SUPPORT
Curatorial support volunteers do a little bit of everything. They paint exhibit walls and cases, clean display areas and artifacts, and keep our exhibit support workshop in good order.

NOT SURE WHAT YOU WANT TO DO YET?
These are only a few of the opportunities available for volunteers.  You may have some interests or talents above and beyond this list.  The best way to get to know us is to come out to our volunteer staff meetings (Last Monday of each month at 0900 hours) and take a tour of the Museum.  We’d be happy to have you visit us and we’d love to talk to you about joining our team!
