MUSEUM TOUR & AERIAL PHOTOS - OLD CITY HANGAR

OLD CITY HANGAR

The oldest structure in the museum complex, it was built in 1928 and retains all its original features. Inside, exhibits showcase the air defense of North America. Early generation satellites, the Cheyenne Mountain Operations Center, radar displays, and transitional fighter-interceptor aircraft (featuring an F-47N Thunderbolt) highlight the intense Cold War climate between 1947 and 1989.

An ICBM exhibit features a Peacekeeper re-entry Vehicle shroud, and an underground launch control center simulator used to train missile combat crews.
